Macro Photography

Photography where contrived image on the film surface is closer to the size of actual subject is known as macro photography. In simpler terms it can be referred as close-up photography. Here the lens is fully exploited to make a sharp focus on a smaller subject impending to the physical magnitude of film frame. Most of the 35mm macro lens accomplish lowest of 1:2 format, which specifies that the image approaching the film is almost half the size of actual subject being photographed. A large number of 35 mm macro lens are 1:1, which means that film image is exactly of the similar size to that of the object. The lens projectedfor macro photography are sharpest at macro focussing distance but are not very sharp while focusing other distances.

3. To achieve a larger covering distance, 150mm-200mm range is suitable.

6. In macro photography, confined depth of field is an essential consideration. So it is crucial to focus decisively on the vital component of your subject. For this reason, it is advisable to use microscope for accurate focus with prominent magnification.
